As a former espada, I feel I should be worried about being around you but I’m not, and you get me to do the most ridiculous things sometimes when normally I’d never even consider it. You’re sort of… comfortable to be around, I guess. Almost like Taichou when he’s not being a pain. But something else too, that I’m not sure of.”

✮ - sleeping habits
Try as she might, she often doesn’t put whatever book she’s reading down until after midnight and, because of this, rises a little later than one would expect. Mostly, Nanao will sleep quite soundly, but she doesn’t sleep so heavily that she won’t be roused quickly by a waiting jigokuchou.
✉ - texting habits
She’s very proficient with her soul phone but mostly uses it to help organise meetings or squad missions and will never use text-talk, instead preferring to use whole words and proper sentences. The two people she texts most are (by far) Rangiku and Hinamori.
✿ - laugh
Nanao has a very soft laugh —more of a giggle— which she usually stifles behind her hand. While it’s not easy to provoke her to laugh outright, once she’s started, she finds it somewhat difficult to stop and has a tendency to giggle herself to tears of mirth.

✎ - taste in music/literature
Nanao isn’t much for music, but she greatly prefers more traditional Japanese folk music over anything ‘modern’. Despite this, she doesn’t mind the occasional love song (think Adele). Her taste in literature is much more broad and she’ll voraciously read any historical, romance or classic novel with strong female leads although doesn’t really have a taste for high fantasy and sci-fi.

I don’t really have any ships for Nanao, let alone weird ones. I suppose, perhaps Shuuhei a little — if he ever gives up on his infatuation with Rangiku, that is — but there’s no deep reason behind it.

Shunsui/Nanao; for all the way he treats her, Shunsui is far more like a father to her than anything else. He’s known her since she was a child and watched over her growing up. To have them in a romantic or sexual relationship just feels… wrong.

Lisa/Nanao; much like above, I see this as a sibling-like relationship and nothing else. Nanao has a deep admiration for Lisa and would do anything for her, but she would never become involved in other ways.
